330 representatives of broadcasters, advertisers and media agencies attended Barb Briefing: A Defining Moment on November 30th 2021, to find out more about our unique new SVOD and video-sharing viewing data.

We were joined by industry leaders who brought to life the value of our new data for broadcasters, agencies and advertisers.

  • Rosemary Newell of ITV explained how commissioning, scheduling and marketing decisions will be improved through a fuller understanding of where people spend their viewing time.
  • Neil Mortensen of ITV highlighted the benefits for the relationship between production companies and the streaming platforms — the new insight helps the making and selling of more great television.
  • Jon Manning of Starcom welcomed the holistic view of how consumers watch linear and streaming services across all video-capable devices.

From the Barb team, Doug Whelpdale shared programme ratings for Squid Game on Netflix, Cruella on Disney+ and Premier League football on Amazon Prime Video. He was then joined by Jim Jarrett to explain the science behind these new developments.
